I arrived in the windy cold state of Boston this morning. It was like 40 degrees. For some reason I was expecting 60 + weather. Anyhow, I took a bus down from Portland, Maine to volunteer at the Content Marketing Conference.
Things are a little hectic on the home front; so, I may have to leave early and head back to Central Maine sooner than expected. If not, I’ll be here until Thursday.
I am volunteering. Tickets are around $1,600 which is way out of this single mom’s budget. I’m currently sitting in the lobby within The Westin Waterfront Boston waiting to meet up with the event staff and receive a list of my duties and today’s schedule.
I’m hoping after everyone is in their breakout room I’ll be able to move in and out of the sessions that interest me. **shrug** Idk, though cause I’m sure that would be disruptive.
They have a great speaker line up with topics ranging from content marketing strategy to a full-day Facebook Marketing workshop. I will be interesting to see it unfold.
This is the first Content Marketing event that I’ve been too. I’m excited to learn and network.
The shitty part is my Airbnb check in isn’t until this afternoon. So, I’m stuck with all my luggage. Ugh. I’m sure there’s a spot I can store it; but, it’s still a pain in the ass.
I slept for an hour before I left home and another couple hours on the bus. I’m ready for my coffee to start kicking in and get interacting with these people! #fullsendbuddy
